Cat Napps Cattery is an indoor cattery, established in 2008 by Sarah, situated on a working arable & livestock farm that is only five minutes from Thirsk in North Yorkshire.
The cattery is a purpose-built building that is surrounded by arable fields & a grass field that is grazed by sheep throughout the year.
Cat Napps Cattery has been awarded a five-star rating (Licence No: B19/11/Y3) by DEFRA & fully licensed by Hambleton District Council to ‘provide the boarding for cats’ according to the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
Cat Napps Cattery is located on the outskirts of Thirsk - a historic market town in the heart of North Yorkshire.
The cattery is easily accessible by car and train; we are located three minutes from Thirsk town centre on the A61 (Station Road) and a 10-minute walk (2 minutes by car) from Thirsk train station.

Cat Napps Cattery has fourteen chalets; two are single, nine are double & three are family chalets (up to four cats).

Cats only from the same family are housed together.
Every chalet are penthouse suites with a ladder up to the sleeping area. All sleeping areas are equipped with: individual thermostatically-controlled heating; a sturdy bed with vet bed bedding; a shelf & a light.
Below every sleeping area there is a spacious exercise area, that is equipped with: a scratching post; dust pan & brush; litter tray; chair & stool.
Every chalet is separated by toughened glass.
Music is played 24/7.
Cat toys are provided.
FEEDING
All food is included in the rate (except prescription or special diet which must be brought in by the owner).
The cats are fed twice daily (unless specified differently) & the meals are prepared in the Cat Napps Cattery kitchen.

Rates are calculated per day and this includes day of arrival & day of departure.
Rates include food, bedding, cat litter and toys.
A booking form must be completed before arrival to the confirm the booking of your cat/s..
Individual tastes may be catered for, however owners are kindly requested to provide prescription diet foods.

GALLERY
TERMS OF conditions, including veterinary authorisation
The terms of contract must be signed by the cat owner on arrival & must follow/agree with the below terms.
All cats must be transported in a sturdy and safe cat carrier
Cat Napps will not accept any ill / infectious / contagious cat
up-to-date vet certificate is required upon administration and will be held at Cat Napps until cat departure
All tariffs are inclusive of food, heating and bedding
All male cats over six months must be neutered
Permission is granted to administer wormer or flea treatment if required by the owner (costs will be £25 to include chalet sanitation post-departure)
If your cat(s) requires veterinary attention I give permission for my cat(s) to be examined and investigations performed (e.g. blood tests, x-rays etc.)
We reserve the right to call Cat Napps preferred veterinary practice (Thirsk Veterinary Centre and Skeldale Vets - Thirsk) unless the owners specifically state otherwise at the time of arrival
All veterinary costs are at the owners expense
I give consent for euthanasia should this be recommended on humane grounds by the vet caring for my cat(s)
Cat Napps will make every effort to contact you in case of an emergency or illness
All bookings must be paid in full (unless 10-days notice of cancellation is given)
If cat(s) are not collected within 14 days of departure date alternative accommodation will be paid with no liability
I give permission for my cats from a multi-cat household to share a pen during their stay, but in the event of an illness or behavioural issues I give permission for the cats to be separated and moved to an individual pen (this will be an extra charge)
I give permission to use Cat Napps toys that are provided
Whilst every care and precaution is taken by management of Cat Napps responsibility can only be accepted at the owners risk
Every effort will be made for your cat(s) to have a happy and comfortable stay with us
